January 27, 2017

Germany is still in its infancy when it comes to mobile payments. Preferences for traditional payment methods remain high among the population but the recent introduction of new service offerings and increased mobile payment usage indicate that P2P mobile payments hold potential for the future.

This white paper provides a deeper understanding of the factors affecting the adoption of P2P mobile payment services among students in Germany. Lastly, it provides several recommendations for companies seeking to launch P2P mobile payment services and companies aiming to improve existing services.

The paper was authored by one of our analysts, Leif Erik Kleivene, and is based on his master thesis by the same name.
