Germany is still in its infancy when it comes to mobile payments. Preferences for traditional payment methods remain high among the population but the recent introduction of new service offerings and increased mobile payment usage indicate that P2P mobile payments hold potential for the future.
This white paper provides a deeper understanding of the factors affecting the adoption of P2P mobile payment services among students in Germany. It further highlights the importance of understanding the drivers behind consumer adoption in order to successfully retain and attract users of P2P mobile payments. Lastly, it provides several recommendations for companies seeking to launch P2P mobile payment services and companies aiming to improve existing services.
